Good grass care is critical to maintaining your lawn. You can start with quality grass from Houston Grass and then have your grass professionally installed by one of our teams. But if you don’t water the grass or you cut the grass too short or you ignore brown patch or sod webworms, your grass will die.
Houston Grass has a tip sheet to help you with grass care throughout the year. Please click the button to download it.
Watering and Mowing Your Grass in the Houston Area
During the growing season, good grass care requires that you ensure that your lawn receives at least one inch of water per week, either from your irrigation system or Mother Nature. As for mowing, you should plan on mowing your lawn at least once every seven days, with more frequent mowings for fast-growing grasses like Bermuda. You should never cut more than a third of the leaf blade at any mowing.
